Bio



Nathan Sharratt studied Film at Pratt Institute and received a BFA in Sculpture in 2011 (expected) from the Savannah College of Art & Design. He currently lives and works in Atlanta, GA. Recent exhibits include a solo performance of Be My Blood Brother at the ACA Sculpture Gallery in Atlanta, GA; the Paint By Numbers group show at the Granite Room in Atlanta, GA; Jennifer Schwartz Gallery in conjunction with Atlanta Celebrates Photography; ECOlution’s “Life” sculptural collaboration with Susan Krause at Mason Murer Fine Art Gallery in Atlanta, GA; and a permanent sculptural installation at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, GA.

Before 2008 Mr. Sharratt lived and worked as an editorial graphic designer, typesetter and photographer in New York City for publications such as Gourmet and Laptop Magazines and a high-end retoucher for Guess and celebrity stock-photo agency Retna. His former career in the magazine and graphics industry continues to influence Mr. Sharratt’s work, as evidenced in the use of typography and wordplay in his two-dimensional, sculptural and extended media works. In 2010 he created Textrek, an experiential location-independent text-message walking tour.
